This policy provides protection against Aviation Risks which includes risks associated with operators of corporate aircraft, private operators, airport authorities, and the manufacturers and servicers of aircraft and aircraft equipment.


This policy is divided into the following sections:

Section 1: Loss or Damage to Aircraft

This section covers accidental loss of or damage to the aircraft arising from the risks associated with the hull (those risks associated with flight, taxiing, and hangar). It also provides compensation in the event of aircraft disappearance that remains unreported for 60days.

Section 2: Legal Liabilities to Third Parties (Other Than Passengers)

This section provides cover to the insured against legal liabilities resulting from accidental bodily injury or property damage caused by the aircraft or by any person or object falling off the aircraft by any of the following occurrences:

  • Involving aircraft or parts or equipment relating thereto.
  • Arising at airport locations.
  • Arising at any other location in connection with the insured’s business of transporting passengers or goods by air.
  • Arising out of the supply of goods or services to others.
  • In connection with the use and /or operating of aircraft.
  • Involved in the air transport industry.

Section 3: Legal Liability to Passengers

This covers the insured against any legal liability to pay damages in respect of accidental bodily injury to passengers whilst on board or alighting from the aircraft, and for loss or damage to baggage and personal articles of passengers arising out of an accident to the aircraft.

Section 4: Spares

This covers physical loss of or damage to spares and equipment as described in the policy, being the property of the insured or the property of others for which the insured is responsible and for which the insured has been requested to effect cover.
